Overview

The Michell S8000 RS is a high-precision, low dew-point hygrometer designed to meet the demands of humidity calibration facilities and many high-value manufacturing and industrial applications. Based on the design of the flagship S8000 -100, its advanced optics system achieves reliable, repeatable measurements of low frost points down to −90 °C at ±0.1 °C accuracy, without needing additional cooling.

Working Principle

A chilled-mirror sensor optimized for fast response to low moisture levels directly detects the formation of condensate on the mirror, with an integral microscope allowing visual inspection of the condensate, giving long-term, low-drift readings of dew point and relative humidity even at very low frost points.
