Overview
The Promet EExd is a hazardous-area rated industrial hygrometer system for measuring water vapour content in process gases on natural gas platforms and terminals, as well as petrochemical plants and industrial manufacturing facilities. It installs directly in the hazardous area, simplifying both new installations and retrofits, and combines proven Michell moisture-sensing technology with sample conditioning for reliable multi-channel online measurement.
Working Principle
A field-installed, EExd flameproof-certified housing contains one or two moisture measurement channels paired with sample conditioning systems, providing continuous moisture content, dew point and pressure readings directly in the hazardous area. Calibration is traceable to NPL (UK) and NIST (USA) national standards, and the system supports sour gas service.
