Overview

The Intrinsically Safe Field Display is a 4-digit, loop-powered local monitor designed for use with Easidew I.S. and Easidew PRO I.S. transmitters, giving a local readout in a hazardous area without additional wiring. Housed in a robust GRP IP66 enclosure with a built-in terminal compartment, it can be mounted standalone or inside a sampling-system enclosure.

Working Principle

The display derives its power from the 4-20 mA loop current shared with the connected transmitter, deriving a voltage drop of under 1.2V at 20°C to drive a non-multiplexed 34mm LCD. Span and zero are field-adjustable to match the associated transmitter’s configured range and units (dew point in °C/°F, or ppmV/ppmW).
