Overview
The SensoTag Cellular is an in-transit temperature data logger using 4G cellular connectivity and IoT technology for real-time monitoring, alarming, and reporting during transport between locations and storage units. Equipped with an RTD temperature sensor, it excels at ultra-low temperature monitoring and includes a large color display showing current, min/max readings, battery life, and connectivity status. Each unit stores over 100,000 readings locally in a circular buffer with unlimited cloud storage via the SensoScientific Cloud, and ships with glycol bottles and start/stop buttons for straightforward trip-by-trip use.
Working Principle
One or two RTD temperature probes continuously sample temperature, which the device stores locally at a user-set recording interval while separately uploading readings to the SensoScientific Cloud over 4G at a configurable upload interval, with faster recording/upload rates automatically applied during an alarm condition. GPS and LBS positioning allow trip location to be tracked alongside temperature, supporting full in-transit compliance reporting.
