Overview

The Rotronic SCS range pairs certified salt-solution humidity standards with small, airtight calibration chambers so RH probes can be checked and adjusted directly on-site, without sending instruments away for calibration. Used together with Rotronic HygroSoft software, the system covers routine field calibration through to full laboratory-grade humidity generation.

Working Principle

A sealed glass ampoule of unsaturated (non-saturated) aqueous salt solution, precisely titrated at the factory, generates a precisely known relative humidity inside a small airtight chamber sized to fit 5/12/15/25 mm probes. After a stabilization period — longer for higher humidity points — the probe reading is compared against the certified reference value of the salt solution and adjusted accordingly.
