Overview
The Ntron Gasenz Oxygen Monitor detects oxygen-deficient atmospheres in any work area where asphyxiation risk exists from gases like nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon or helium. Compact and rugged, it uses either zirconia oxide or electrochemical sensor technology and is well suited to personnel protection in the gas generation industry, laboratories with gas chromatographs, and hypoxic fire-prevention systems.
Working Principle
A zirconia or electrochemical oxygen sensor continuously monitors ambient O2 and triggers the integrated audible/visual alarms if the concentration goes outside the set limits. The pre-calibrated monitor can work standalone or feed a control system via its 4–20 mA, RS232 and relay outputs.
