FGD14 Safe Area Gas Detector
Safe-area fixed detector for oxygen and toxic gases with remote visual and audible alarm unit.

Ex 'ia' intrinsically safe fixed gas detector for flammable, toxic and O2 hazards.
The FGD3 is an intrinsically safe fixed gas detector engineered for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, where an electrical fault must not be capable of producing an incendive spark. It is used across industrial processes such as water treatment, pharmaceuticals and chemical manufacturing, wherever flammable, toxic or oxygen-deficient hazards exist in a hazardous area.
A plug-in sensor head (pellistor, electrochemical or infrared, depending on target gas) measures the gas concentration and outputs a 4-20 mA signal. Because the detector is intrinsically safe, it must be connected through an approved electrical safety barrier that limits energy transmission between the hazardous-area detector and safe-area equipment, ensuring any fault condition stays below the energy needed to ignite an explosive atmosphere.
