Overview
The FGD10B is a compact, lightweight flameproof (Ex db) fixed gas detector for oxygen, toxic and flammable hydrocarbon gas detection in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is the display-less counterpart to the FGD10A, sharing the same flameproof enclosure, sensor options and plug-in serviceability while occupying a smaller housing footprint.
Working Principle
A single plug-in sensor — NDIR infrared, catalytic pellistor or electrochemical — measures the target gas within the flameproof enclosure and the detector outputs a 4–20 mA signal (10-bit) to a control panel. Calibration uses internal ZERO and SPAN buttons or an optional handheld configuration unit.
