Overview
The FGD10A is an explosion-protected, ATEX and IECEx certified flameproof (Ex d) fixed gas detector for oxygen, toxic and flammable hydrocarbon gas detection in potentially explosive atmospheres. A magnetic pen-operated menu allows calibration and configuration through the display window without opening the flameproof enclosure, and the unit is available with or without an integral LCD display.
Working Principle
A single plug-in sensor — NDIR infrared, catalytic pellistor or electrochemical — measures the target gas inside the flameproof enclosure. Readings are shown on the 4-digit LCD and output as a 4–20 mA signal (10-bit) and RS232 (19200 baud), with three control relays for Alarm 1, Alarm 2 and Fault. Calibration and configuration use a magnetic pen through the display window, without removing the cover.
