Overview
The SST OXY-Flex is a zirconium dioxide (zirconia) oxygen analyser with an integral probe, for gas temperatures from -100 °C to +250 °C at the probe tip (-100 °C to +400 °C with the high-temperature option). It gives a high-accuracy linear output, needs no reference gas, and can be calibrated in fresh air (20.7% O2) or to any other known O2 concentration.
Working Principle
A zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) sensing element measures the partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2) in the measurement gas. Because it measures partial pressure, a change in barometric pressure from that present during calibration causes a proportional readout error (e.g. a 1% rise in pressure raises a 21% O2 reading to 21.21% O2). A cycling 3.3 VDC logic output follows the O2 sensor pump cycle for diagnostics.
