Overview
The SensoScientific 4-20mA Universal Sensor is a Wi-Fi transmitter that accepts a standard 4-20mA input, letting virtually any existing 4-20mA sensor or transmitter be turned into a wireless, cloud-monitored point. Available in single-band (2.4 GHz, B14-200-OTA) and dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz, B14-500-OTA) versions, it operates over enterprise Wi-Fi with PEAPv0 security and delivers customizable alerts via SMS, voice call, pager, fax and email when preset conditions are breached. Readings are time-stamped and stored in a tamper-proof database not editable through the user interface, supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant monitoring.
Working Principle
The transmitter reads a standard 4-20mA current loop signal from an externally connected sensor or transmitter, buffering up to 4,000 readings locally while streaming data over enterprise Wi-Fi to the SensoScientific Validated Cloud for unlimited storage, reporting and 24/7 alarm monitoring. An onboard E-Ink display and push button give an instant local readout without needing the cloud dashboard.
