Overview

The Geotech GEM5000 landfill gas extraction monitor measures CH4, CO2 and O2. It is an easy to use analyser designed to aid balancing of the gas field, maximise power output and ultimately maximise revenue from CH4 extraction. It records static and differential pressure and can calculate gas flow and calorific value with an external flow device.

Working Principle

CH4 and CO2 are measured by a dual-wavelength infrared sensor with reference channel; O2 and optional CO (H2 compensated), H2S, NH3 and H2 by internal electrochemical sensors. An internal pump (550 ml/min typical) draws the sample from the extraction well or pipework.
