Overview
The PLF4098L is a 4" glycerine-filled pressure gauge designed to dampen pointer flutter caused by pulsating or vibrating pressure sources, giving a steadier, more readable indication in demanding mechanical environments.
Working Principle
The gauge case is filled with glycerine, which surrounds the internal Bourdon tube movement and dampens vibration and pulsation before it reaches the pointer, while pressure still deflects the Bourdon tube proportionally to drive the pointer across the dial.
