Overview

The MultiDetek-Lite is LDetek's most compact series of gas chromatographs. In its 4U rackmount configuration it offers different detectors, ovens/columns, valves and flow controllers in a cost-saving arrangement for multiple trace-impurity applications. Based on the MultiDetek3 platform, the MD-Lite offers the same performance in a smaller unit when the application requires less complexity.

Working Principle

Sample gas is separated on GC columns in isothermal ovens and measured by chromatography detectors — PlasmaDetek plasma emission detector (PED) for trace ppb/ppm impurities, TCD for percent-level purity, or FID for carbons. Optional online detectors can be added: Ntron SenzTx zirconia or electrochemical sensors for trace O2, and a Michell quartz crystal microbalance (QMA) sensor for trace H2O.
