Overview
The EL-USB-5+ is a standalone data logger that can record over 1,000,000 events, state changes and count events. It supports fast logging rates — event capture up to 4 times per second, state changes up to 2 times per second, and event counting up to 100 times per second (with LEDs off). The logger is supplied with a cap featuring two screw terminals and measurement leads terminating in crocodile clips, and connects to volt-free contacts with rising or falling edge triggering. Data is retrieved via USB and analyzed in the free EasyLog software, with graphing, printing and export support.
Working Principle
Two screw-terminal inputs monitor a volt-free contact or digital signal. Depending on the configured mode, the logger records the timestamp of each discrete event, tracks ON/OFF state duration, or increments a running count each time the input triggers — supporting rising-edge, falling-edge, or both-edge triggering to match the monitored equipment's signal behavior.
