Overview
The Galvanic Brimstone is a UV-spectrophotometer-based analyzer purpose-built for sulfur-recovery units, monitoring H2S, SO2, COS and CS2 simultaneously and calculating air demand. The family covers the full SRU process — an acid gas analyzer for the inlet stream, a tail-gas analyzer for Claus-process air-demand control, a pit-gas analyzer for sulfur-pit monitoring, and a continuous emissions monitor for stack-gas compliance.
Working Principle
A close-coupled, direct-process probe with enhanced CCD UV spectroscopy measures absorption at 256 points using Chemometrics, rather than the single-point method used by optical-filter analyzers. This lets the Brimstone resolve H2S, SO2, COS and CS2 simultaneously with no moving parts and low maintenance.
